The superb highly detailed Shelby Collectibles 1/18 scale diecast Shelby American Team Ford GT MkII, #1, that came second in the Le Mans 24 Hour race of 1966, driven by Ken Miles & Denny Hulme. This model features a realistic dirty weathered finish. This car is often referred to as "the real winner" of Le Mans 1966.

Towards the end of the race, this car looked to be the certain winner of Le Mans'66, being 4 laps ahead of the eventual winner. However, in an effort to engineer a photo-finish for first place, on the instruction of Ford's racing Director Leo Beebe, driver Ken Miles gave away his lead & came in just behind the number 2 car, driven by McLaren & Amon.

This car is featured in the movie "Ford v Ferrari" starring Matt Damon & Christian Bale. The model (SC405) measures just over 9 (230mm) in length, & features opening doors, front & rear compartments & working steering. It is presented on a display plinth in a card window box with graphics reflecting the colour scheme of the car. It is new, mint & boxed.
